Abstract:
We propose continuous ambulatory monitoring of elderly patients as a structured consumer contribution to the HealthConnect architecture. Monitoring devices are currently being trialled to detect patient movement and vital signs in the elderly population, with the intention of preventing a fall in the patient. Adverse patient conditions can be added in a structured way to event summaries accessible to health care providers.
